A nice little spike in gold<\/p><\/div>\n

I wrote this little ditty yesterday starting at around the time gold started spiking in the above chart. Hope you find it amusing. If you don’t like the “rude” line, I have provided an alternative so it doesn’t render the whole thing unusable for audiences of a certain type. Enjoy.<\/p>\n

An upward spike is what we like,
\nIn the price of gold
\nFor we no longer can believe
\nThe things that we are told.<\/p>\n

Official figures are are a sham
\nDistortions of the fact.
\nBut when you try to show the world
\nYou simply get attacked.<\/p>\n

The trouble is the system needs
\nEternal growth, its holy grail.
\nIt\u2019s clear this is impossible
\nSo is, I fear, destined to fail<\/p>\n

When nations punish all their folk
\nWith financial repression
\nThey think it helps pay off the debt
\nAvoiding great depression<\/p>\n

Well let me tell you, world leaders
\nYour thinking is unsound.
\nWhose turn is it for more QE?
\nOh yes, of course, the pound!<\/p>\n

And then the Euro, dollar next
\nIf Benny gets his way.
\nBernanke, somewhat swanky,
\nPrinting greenbacks every day.<\/p>\n

Uncle Ben should stick to rice
\nInstead of printing paper
\nTo pay off trillions in loans
\nSecuritised into vapour.<\/p>\n

So what will be the end-game
\nof these great devaluations?
\nConfiscation of all wealth
\nBuilt up through generations?<\/p>\n

It would be nice to think that
\nWe could change our politics.
\nThe truth is though, it can\u2019t be done
\nThey\u2019re all such selfish pricks.*<\/p>\n

So buy some gold, while all around,
\nthe system\u2019s self-destructing.
\nAnd keep it quiet and far away
\nFrom government\u2019s deducting.<\/p>\n
